Demulsifier Bottle-Test Workspace

Use this demulsifier bottle test workspace to evaluate up to 30 candidates plus untreated and incumbent controls. Record custom reading times through 24 hours and produce a structured comparative ranking. All calculations run locally in the browser; entered data is not uploaded or stored.

1. Test conditions

Comparability check: use the same representative sample, bottle volume, temperature, mixing procedure, timing and analytical method for every candidate.

2. Candidate observations

Enter separated-water volume at each reading. Rag and final BS&W are penalties; cleaner separated water receives a higher quality score.

Reading schedule

Add any reading time from 1 minute to 24 hours. Times are sorted automatically.

Candidate capacity

5 / 30 candidates, plus untreated Blank and Incumbent controls.

Ranking must be reviewed together with reproducibility, final oil specification and produced-water quality.

Scoring logic and limitations

The comparative score rewards early and final water separation and cleaner water, while penalising rag-layer thickness and residual BS&W. It is a screening aid—not a product approval criterion. A technically acceptable winner must remain reproducible and should not trade better dehydration for unacceptable water quality, interface behaviour or downstream risk.

  • Use an untreated blank and the incumbent product.
  • Bracket the field dose rather than testing one concentration.
  • Record temperature and sample history.
  • Confirm the preferred candidate in a controlled field trial.
