Laboratory comparison of untreated and antifoam-controlled process fluid

Process performance

Antifoams

Foam-control solutions for selected hydrocarbon and industrial processes.

The challenge

Foaming can reduce throughput, destabilize separation and interfere with process control. Foam behavior depends on fluid composition, surfactants and contaminants, gas loading, temperature, agitation and the characteristics of the process equipment.

Our approach

We support antifoam selection through application review and comparative screening under representative conditions. Evaluation considers foam knockdown, persistence of control, effective dosage and compatibility with the process fluid, downstream separation and other treatment chemicals.

Typical applications

  • Selected hydrocarbon processes
  • Industrial process and water systems

Technical support

  • Application and compatibility review
  • Comparative dosage and foam-control screening
  • Foam knockdown and persistence evaluation
  • Performance evaluation and follow-up
